What a weekend this was, I’m totally exhausted now. But it was worth every single second. I spent a few hours less at Celebration than I had initially planned, but I had to sleep at least a little between the days, right? 🙂 I had also planned to spend a little more money, but as I said earlier, vintage wise the prices were over the top, not my cup of tea to pay more, just because it’s a convention and that I was not able to use my fast passes to skip the queues for the photo ops pretty much ruined the photo ops I had planned with Mark and Carrie for me. But having saved that money is not the worst thing that could have happened, so it’s all good.

Anyhow, day 3 was very, very exciting. First, on the Celebration Stage today were „The 4 Fetts“, John Morton (played Boba in one scene in Cloud City), Dickey Beer (Boba stuntman), Daniel Logan (young Boba in the prequels) and of course Jeremy Bulloch. Jeremy Bulloch came on stage in his costume and the crowd went wild. About halfway through Tem Morrison (Jango Fett) came on stage, saying: „They just couldn’t leave me out, could they?“. At the end, they all performed a New Sealand dance/song together with Warwick Davis.

Since today Celebration ended already at 17:00, the breaks were not as long as during the past days. Only 30 minutes later the next show was on: „Jabba’s Palace reunion“. On stage, they had: Squidhead, Tooth Face, Yak Face, Oola, Salacious Crumb and 2 Jabba puppeteers. Again, at the end of that show, they asked the guests questions which the people have raised via Twitter and guess what? My question was shown on the big screen and read out loud again, see below for proof this time. 🙂

I then went back into the exhibition hall for a short round, but quickly rushed back again as Mark Hamill was on. On my way there, I saw the queue for Mark, it was unbelievable long (see below) and I almost fell bad for having a VIP ticket, but just almost, as it felt good to go into the hall just like that and watching a great video which DJ Elliott has put together for CE II. Only 30 minutes later Mark came in, the crowd was on their feet, shouting, cheering, celebrating the return of their Jedi. It was the first time that I saw him live on stage and I didn’t know that he had so much to say. 😉 A little too much maybe for my taste, but we also learned a few interesting things from him that I may elaborate on soon.

Again there were only 30 minutes between the ending of that show and the next and final show, the closing ceremonies. Halfway through I left to get more Star Tots, that didn’t go too well tbh, but at least I got 1 I didn’t have before. While I was gone they announced that Celebration VII will take place in Anaheim in April 2015 and that preorder for tickets will start in 2-3 weeks.

That was it for today and for Celebration Europe II in Essen, Germany. I’m a little sad that it is over now, I enjoyed being there and writing about it every day and I also liked how the number of readers increased from about 10-20 per day to 70-90 per day. 😉 I sure hope that I have now found new returning readers that way.
